Individual, Couples, and Family Psychotherapy
"Honored to serve First Responders and Military free of charge"
My name is Lois and I am a licensed psychotherapist & certified trauma professional practicing in the Hamburg area with degrees in both Applied Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and Master of Arts in Couples, Marital, & Family Therapy from Kutztown University. Continuing a lifelong passion to assist individuals experiencing intrapersonal and relational issues within my own community, I am currently accepting new clients in my Tilden Township office. Beyond providing generalized counseling services, specific areas of interest include chronic PTSD in First Responders, divorce/separation, layered trauma and abuse, identity issues, self-harm/eating disorders, & substance abuse. In addition to adult populations I also have extensive experience working with high risk teens as a Juvenile Probation Office counselor through Access Services and as a clinical therapist at Abraxas Academy detention facility and therefore welcome the opportunity to treat both teens and adults.
I am privileged to offer you diverse experience as you navigate life’s most challenging paths. Together, we will set forth goals focusing on resilience, positive self-worth, and overall mental wellness. Working within the context of an eclectic and realist-based approaches, treatment modalities include psychodynamic, trauma narrative, identity exploration, harm reduction, and mindfulness.
My mission is to apply both my formal learning with extensive life experience to help you in addressing your current emotional needs. If you believe we can work together to achieve personal growth and healing, please contact me.
